The farmers of Pyengana in north eastern Tasmania have been handcrafting traditional cloth matured farmhouse cheddar for over 130 years. Pyengana Dairy was established in 1992 by Jon Healey, a fourth generation dairy farmer in Pyengana.
Visitors can view the cheesemakers at work and taste our selection of award-winning Pyengana cheddars and blue cheese at the Farmgate Cafe. The menu offers local produce and dairy heroes, with options for breakfast, lunch, or a gourmet platter on the scenic deck.
Milk is sourced solely from Pyengana where the cows graze on fresh lush pastures.
