Quality Mushrooms has been a family-owned and operated farm in Ohaupo since 1988. The team produces 10 to 12 tonnes of mushrooms per week, specializing in white button and portabella varieties harvested 365 days a year.
The farm achieves organic certification with BioGro and focuses on sustainability by producing its own compost from wheat straw and chicken manure. Handpicked mushrooms are cooled immediately after harvest to lock in freshness.
Located at 96 Ranby Road, the business is part of the Kiwimushrooms federation. Spent compost is sold to local garden nurseries for soil improvement, supporting a circular economy approach.
