The Carob Kitchen grows organic carob at a family orchard in Port Elliot, South Australia. The orchard was established in 1997. David and Carol Solomon continue to care for its 3,500 trees by hand. Each tree is grown from seed and grafted in the paddock, using natural methods.
The first carob syrup was released in 2010. The range now includes kibble, powders, bars, bears and vegan options. The Banjo Bear range is made with Australian-grown organic carob and real cocoa butter. The orchard describes itself as certified organic and Australian owned.
Products are sold through the online shop and through supermarkets, cafes and health food stores. The range began with a syrup made from the orchard’s carob and has expanded into several ways to use carob in the kitchen.
