Shayne and Elizabeth Mackenzie produce Woodland’s Organic Honey near Colville on the northern Coromandel Peninsula. Their hives are spread across remote parts of the peninsula. A July 2025 profile describes the couple filling jars and packing honey at their shed after the harvest and queen-rearing season. The operation meets the requirements for certified organic honey.
The range includes multifloral, mānuka, rewarewa and kānuka honey. The couple received two gold medals and a silver at the 2025 Outstanding Food Producer Awards for their multifloral and mānuka varieties. Shayne manages the bees and queen rearing, while Elizabeth handles marketing, sales, exports and the books.
Honey is sold in New Zealand and online, with exports also going to Europe and Asia. The shed’s location is not promoted here as a public shop. Find a current seller or contact the business before trying to visit or arrange a purchase.
