The Riverside Farmers Market is a monthly celebration of local food, held on the last Sunday of each month alongside the Avon River. It brings together local growers, makers, and producers offering fresh seasonal produce, artisan food, and handmade goods.
Visitors can shop directly from the people who grow, bake, catch, and create the food. You will find crisp vegetables picked at dawn, warm loaves straight from the oven, handcrafted cheeses, free-range meats, and freshly caught seafood. The market aims to reconnect with where our food comes from while supporting local businesses in Canterbury.
Located at 98 Oxford Terrace, the market runs from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Admission is free and it is open to all ages.
