Mangaroa Farms’ Kete Kai farm shop sells beef and lamb raised at the farm in the Mangaroa Valley. Cattle and sheep graze diverse pasture, with adaptive grazing and Halter virtual fencing used to maintain living soil and year-round ground cover.
The range includes Angus beef and Coopworth-crossed lamb. Meat is butchered by the farm’s crew after professional slaughter, with each cut traceable to its source. The farm describes its animals as grass-fed and pasture-raised, without grain finishing or feedlots.
Visit the shop at 98 Whitemans Valley Road, Upper Hutt. It opens Wednesday to Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturday from 9am to 4pm. Customers can also order meat online for free pickup from the shop or frozen delivery across the North Island.
