Capital Region Farmers Market is a community project of the Rotary Club of Hall in Canberra. It brings regional growers and food producers together to sell directly to shoppers.
More than 100 stallholders bring fruit, vegetables, nuts, dairy, eggs, honey, bread, meat and seafood to the market. The current roster includes certified organic growers as well as other producers. Shoppers can talk with stallholders about their food, how it is grown and how to use it. Ask questions.
The market runs on most Saturdays from 7am to 11:30am at Exhibition Park in Mitchell. Vehicle access is via Old Well Station Road or Double Gate Road. Light rail is an option. The Flemington Road stop connects with pedestrian entry through Gate 1. Check current dates.
