Suzy and Andy Maxon became custodians of this 26ha property in February 2020, starting out with pasture raised eggs. They believe their philosophy is simple: ‘continue as nature intended’. The hens live in a mobile chicken caravan that is shifted onto new fresh pasture multiple times a week.
You can pick up eggs at the farm gate, which has a stall at the bottom of the drive and on the rail trail. The farm currently has 450 hens, approx. 18 hens per hectare. They feed the hens a feed that is free from GMOs, soy and yolk colourant.
Visit the farm to buy your eggs directly from the producers who want you to know where your food comes from.
